A couple of weeks ago I posted some inspiration for outdoor living and, now that summer finally seems to be putting in an appearance, we’re beginning to turn the plans for our garden into a reality. A few tomato and pepper plants have already sprung up (having a south-facing plot seems to have brought out the Good Life in us), and now we’re focusing on making the patio area usable in time for BBQ season.
Luckily, I’ve just stumbled across a beautiful range of garden furniture and accessories by one of my favourite homeware brands, Rowen & Wren. I’ve blogged before about Rowen & Wren’s timeless, pared-down designs, and its outdoor collection is as appealing as its indoor range.
I particularly love the striking simplicity of the Harmen chairs and footstools, which are made from wood and rope and available in black or grey. They combine Scandinavian influences with a dash of beach chic, and they fold away for easy storage over winter. They also recline should you want to lounge around with a good book or sit back with a glass of wine in hand.
Speaking of wine, I also have my eye on the Brimi outdoor drinks table, complete with a built-in ice bucket. Ideal for the long, light (and, I hope, balmy) evenings ahead…
