In contrast to last week’s muted tones, the second of my autumnal moodboards brings together the rich colours and glossy textures of harvest time.
Autumn fruit provides plenty of inspiration for adding a dash of glamour to interiors. I love inky hues combined with vibrant greens, golds and purples, and schemes which replicate the varied textures of natural produce by pairing lustrous silks and plush velvets with mottled walls and distressed mirrors. The overall result is sensuous and dramatic – the perfect backdrop for eye-catching lighting, vintage furniture and sleek Art Deco touches.
Try Graham and Green for sofas, throws and cushions with rich tones and textures, and check out Rockett St George for kitchenware and mirrors with distressed finishes. Rockett St George also stocks a range of dark, moody paints by designer Abigail Ahern.
